The dashboard is the central control panel for the Clear Books accounting system. The dashboard provides an overview of key financial data and links to the most commonly used features. Here are a few of the "widgets" you can see:

Sales


The 'Total outstanding' displays the total outstanding amount on all unpaid invoices, less any credit notes. Clicking on this value will direct you to the Sales Invoices Unpaid menu.


The 'overdue' displays the number of invoices outstanding beyond their due date and the total amount of those invoices. Clicking on this value will direct you to the Sales Invoices Unpaid menu, this menu will be filtered by overdue invoices.


This widget also lists 3 customers with the highest total amount outstanding. Clicking on this value will direct you to their statement. 


The fixed graph shows the number of invoices due, overdue and paid within a week, spanning a period of 8 weeks.



Purchases


The 'Total outstanding' displays the total outstanding amount on all unpaid bills, less any credit notes. Clicking on this value will direct you to the Purchases Bills Unpaid menu.


The 'overdue' displays the number of bills outstanding beyond their due date and the total amount of those invoices. Clicking on this value will direct you to the Purchases Bills Unpaid menu, this menu will be filtered by overdue bills.


This widget also lists 3 suppliers with the highest total amount outstanding. Clicking on this value will direct you to their statement. 


Bank accounts


View the balance on each of your bank accounts. Click on a balance for the relevant bank statements. You can stop accounts from appearing in this widget by editing the bank account on the Money screen.


Financial reports


Here you can quickly view your company reports including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.


Expenses


This provides a summary of the company's expenses and the employee claiming.


VAT


This shows the VAT currently owed or due to HMRC


Calendar


This shows various events and documents becoming due, for example, VAT returns and due invoices and bills.  The items you wish to appear can be customised, and you can create a link to your outside cloud calendars to update them with the same information.

Customising your Dashboard


To customise the dashboard to show or hide particular widgets, click on the 'Customise dashboard' option at the bottom of the page. This will expand showing all the possible widgets. Use the check boxes to select the widgets you want to see.
